Wajeeha Mahmood recently completed her medical school in Pakistan, and moved to the Bay Area this year, currently studying for her licensing exams and hopes to become a Pediatrician in the near future. Apart from academic interests, she has always remained passionate about the health and well-being especially of children in developing countries. She is a Preventative Health Researcher with the Childlife Foundation (www.childlifefoundation.org) and has worked in collaboration with Stanford’s Global Health department on a research project that was accepted for the CUGH conference in 2016. Childcare, and its facets are her deep interests and she has volunteered for numerous NGO’s in Pakistan, in fundraising, event management and organization. Her volunteering skills include coordination and setting up of events, helping with registration, ensuring smooth operation, working with teams, researching topics and preparing marketing blurbs to be shared on social media or other writing platforms.
